TALIRAW
ABOUT
Taliraw is a Czech composer, cellist and vocalist whose work moves between ambient, and experimental sound. Performing live with cello, voice, and looping, she builds immersive soundscapes that blur the line between organic and electronic, and create performances that feel both spontaneous and carefully shaped. Her compositions draw from indie and art-pop influences, weaving rhythm and texture into intimate, cinematic narratives.
Based for several years in the UK, she became part of its independent music scene, performing at venues and festivals across North East England (NOVUM Newcastle, NARC. Fest) and later appearing at major Czech festivals such as Colours of Ostrava and ČEZFEST. Her releases have received repeated airplay on BBC Radio and Český rozhlas, as well as positive attention from independent media.
As a queer and neurodivergent performer, Taliraw explores identity, emotion, and alternative ways of being through both music and visuals. Whether performing solo or collaborating with others, she seeks to create work that feels honest, curious, and deeply connected to the world around her
